Join us at The Walnut Community Center in Marshall, North Carolina, this coming Sunday October 4, from 1-4pm to learn All About Kudzu! LB of The Kudzu Stand and Kudzu Culture will be sharing history, demonstrating processing techniques, and leading participants in kudzu removal and crafting. The Walnut Community Center is located at 46 School Road, Marshall, NC 28753.
This is a no-cost, casual, community oriented event, with the aim to teach people about kudzu removal for use, and how to make value added products from kudzu. We also aim to remove kudzu in the Walnut area, where there is infestation-level growth. Together we will review: kudzu removal strategies, kudzu fiber processing for weaving and papermaking, drying kudzu leaf for fodder, and kudzu root starch (kuzu) processing for human consumption.
